Justyna Kowalczyk-Tekieli keeps up the pace! Victory at Seiser Alm –

Justyna Kowalczyk-Tekieli has recently decided to retire from professional sports, but has not completely given up on competition. She finished second in the 30-kilometer race at the Moonlight Classic on Seiser Alm, an event held in the South Tyrol region of Italy. Laura Stichling from Germany finished over seven minutes behind the Polish athlete. This marks Kowalczyk-Tekieli’s third victory in these competitions, with the organizers expressing their satisfaction and congratulations to our athlete.

The Moonlight Classic on Seiser Alm is a unique cross-country skiing event taking place in the picturesque alpine landscape, adding a distinctive character to the race as it unfolds under the full moon. Participants can choose between a full 30-kilometer course or a shorter 15-kilometer distance, with both routes ending at the same location. Seiser Alm, the largest mountain plateau in Europe, serves as the arena for the classic diagonal style competition. In this year’s edition, Justyna Kowalczyk-Tekieli, a two-time Olympic champion and medalist in numerous prestigious events, unsurprisingly dominated the night-time cross-country race.
